Bread Making – Skills and Techniques

10:30 – 2:30 approx  Cost £85.00

This course is suitable for those who have not had a great deal of bread making experience and would like to learn how to make a really good loaf of bread by hand.

Nick teaches making a really good white dough learning the skills to knead and prove effectively. Much of the bread making process is understanding how the structure and texture of the dough changes and it is important to know how the dough feels.

You will make the dough, by hand from scratch, half the dough will be used to make traditional shapes as you see in the bakery for example a bloomer, cob or perhaps a cottage loaf. The other half will be used to make one of the speciality breads for example stilton and raisin.

The price of the course includes lunch and your apron and tea towel.

Max ten people per course.
